How to change network bandwidth settings for Windows Updates
You can easily adjust the network bandwidth used by Windows Updates. Do the following:
1. Launch the Settings app through the Start menu.
2. Navigate to Windows Update > Advanced options.
3. In Advanced options, select Delivery Optimization, and then select Advanced options again.
4. In Download settings, you can choose between Absolute Bandwidth or Percentage of measured bandwidth. Absolute Bandwidth means specifying how much Mbps of bandwidth Windows Update is allowed to use. On the other hand, if you choose Percentage of measured bandwidth, you will have to choose a percentage of the updated source.
5. For your desired download configuration, adjust foreground and background download bandwidth.
6. Similarly, you can limit the network bandwidth used to upload updates to other PCs on your network in the Upload settings section.
