Windows 11: the best apps to customize everything

Windows 11 has arrived with a new interface and many features. From the start, the new Start menu and redesigned taskbar stood out. However, and although the majority of users like this news, there are still some that do not fit and completely disagree with Microsoft's decisions. If you're in this last group, don't worry. This is because luckily there are many apps that make customization easier. From bringing the classic start menu back to having a dynamic background, here are the best apps to customize everything on your Windows 11 PC.

Windows 11: the best app to customize everything!

Of the five options we'll talk about next, two are paid (one isn't available yet) and the other three are free.

Start11

The Start menu is perhaps the most controversial aspect of the design of Windows 11. Microsoft has removed the live tiles and removed some customization options in the Start menu. However, you can bring almost anything with Start11. Furthermore, a future update will even bring the option to drag the taskbar to the top or sides of the screen. It costs 5.99 Euros. More information here.

TB rounding

This application allows you to customize the Windows 11 taskbar. With it, you can round the corners of the taskbar, divide the bar into segments and add margins. This application can also make the Windows 11 taskbar act as a floating dock.

It is available at the Microsoft store.

Live Wallpaper

With this app you can set GIFs, videos and web pages as your PC desktop. It was recently updated to support Windows 11, so it should work fine with Microsoft's new operating system. Available on here.

Files

Native File Explorer has received a small update for Windows 11 but it's not all different. Files is a third-party file manager with a modern design. Works well with touch or mouse and keyboard. Recently received a major update before Windows 11.

StartIsBack: another app to customize everything in Windows 11

The preview version of StartIsBack is free, at least for now, and includes very interesting functions. That said, we have a classic design for the toolbar with the option to make it look like Windows 10 or Windows 7. But we can do a lot more, including in File Explorer. That said, it's possible to replace the new Windows 11 look with a banner in Windows 10 and Windows 7.

But of course the focus is on the Start menu. So with StartIsBack we get a classic start menu that works similar to what happened in Windows 7. But it goes even further. It is possible to choose whether or not for rounded corners like in Windows 11, or sharper like in Windows 10. It is also possible to set everything like in Windows 7. At the same time we can customize the colors.
