Battlefield 2042 Error "Unable to Connect to EA Servers" FIX

If you preordered Battlefield on either of the three launchers, you would have already preloaded the game. While not all, some players are confusing preload with the release of the early access and that’s the reason you are running into the Battlefield 2042 Unable to Connect to EA Servers with Error 327684:1. You are seeing this error message because the game’s not live yet and the servers are offline. But, that’s not all the reason you can see this error. How to Fix Battlefield 2042 Unable to Connect to EA Servers

The official time when the early access for Battlefield 2042 goes live is Oct 06, 07:00 UTC. If you try to access the game before this time, you will encounter the Battlefield 2042 “Unable to connect to EA servers error message.”

If you are past the launch date for the early access or the game has been released and you still run into the error, there are a few things you can do. Keep reading to know more.

Check Battlefield 2042 Server Status

The most likely cause for this error would be a glitch on the server-end when the game is down for maintenance or unexpected strain on the server such as over-demand on the servers. So, when you run into the error message, the first place you should check is the status of the servers. Here are various ways to do it.

Set the Right DNS Servers

The DNS servers set on your device play a crucial role in your connection to servers. Hence, it’s recommended that they go with the best. For the purpose of gaming, the Google DNS servers are the best. Here is how to change servers on all devices.

For PlayStation 4

  • Open the PlayStation and head to the main Menu and go to Settings
  • Select Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Custom
  • Select LAN for cable and Wi-Fi for Wireless depending on the type of connection you are using
  • Next, select Custom and change the IP Address Settings to Automatic; Do not specify for DHCP host name; manual for DNS settings, and enter the primary and secondary DNS – 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 – ; Automatic for MTU settings; and Do not use for Proxy server.
  • Save and Restart the PlayStation 4.

For PS5

From the Home Screen go to Settings > Network > Settings > Set Up Internet Connection > Set Up Manually > Wi-Fi or LAN > Under DNS Settings > Enter Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 > Enter Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4

Fox Xbox One

Open Guide by pressing the Xbox button > Settings > All Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings > Manual > Enter Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 > Enter Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4

For Xbox Series X|S

Go to Configuration > General > Network Configuration > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings > Manual > Enter Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 > Enter Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4

For PC

  • Press Windows Key + I to open the Windows Settings
  • Select Network & Internet
  • Click on Change adapter options
  • Select the network and right-click > Properties
  • Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties
  • Toggle Use the following DNS server addresses and fill the Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
  • Click Ok.

Finally, we have to clear the old DNS Cache to make it work.

For Windows, launch Command Prompt as administrator, type the following command and press Enter.

ipconfig /flushdns

Now, restart your computer
