How to Turn Off Keyboard Sound for On-Screen Keyboard in Windows 11/10

Windows computers have always had a virtual keyboard feature. When your physical keyboard has some problems, you can call it out and use it to work. On-screen keyboard sounds are on by default, which can give you some haptic feedback. But sometimes, you may think the sound is loud and you want to turn it off. A. Enable On-Screen Keyboard in Windows 10
1. Go to Start > Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.
2. Go to the Use your device without a physical keyboard section and turn on the button under Use the On-Screen keyboard.
B. Disable/Enable Keyboard Sound in Windows 10
1. You will see a virtual keyboard on your computer screen. If you miss it, you can press Windows + Ctrl + O at the same time to call out the on-screen keyboard.
2. Click the Option key.
3. The Options interface will appear. You need to uncheck the Use click sound option and click OK to save the changes.

A. Enable the On-Screen Keyboard in Windows 11
1. Go to Start > Settings > Accessibility.

3. Turn on the button next to On-screen keyboard and you will see the on-screen keyboard.
Tip: The easiest and direct way to open the on-screen keyboard is to use the Windows Search feature: click the search icon and search for the on-screen keyboard. Then select the first result to open it.
B. Disable/Enable Keyboard Sound in Windows 11
1. Click the Start button on the taskbar. On the search box, type on-screen keyboard.
2. In the available search results, click the On-Screen Keyboard entry to open it.
3. Select the Options key when the on-screen keyboard opens.
4. Uncheck the option Use click sound to turn off the sound of a keypress. Then, click OK.
In the future, if you need to hear a keypress sound, check the checkbox Use click sound in above step 4
