Forza Horizon 5 Not Installing/Working/Opening On Xbox App Windows 10 & 11 FIX

One of the biggest titles of 2021, Forza Horizon 5, is finally available for everyone to try. The game is definitely one of the best Racing Games I have ever laid my hands on and I can guarantee that even if you are not a fan of Racing Games you will love this.

The game has hundreds of the biggest cars in the world. And no less a visual wonder. Forza Horizon 5 features our most diverse, adventurous and social open world, inviting players to lead breathtaking expeditions through Mexico's vibrant and ever-evolving landscapes with fun driving stunts. Fun, unlimited on hundreds of the world's greatest cars. IGN gave the game a 10/10 rating, calling it 'Masterpiece'.

The game comes with some technical issues. But, that's to be expected from a big game like this. Some PC players are experiencing crashes and launch issues in the game. Good thing the developers have suggested some fixes for that. Check them out.

How to Troubleshoot Errors and Launches in Forza 5

Check out Forza Horizon 5's minimum system requirements

Before you continue this article, I want you to check the minimum requirements for the game. Because if your PC does not meet the requirements, 100% of the game crashes. Here are the requirements:

As you can see, you need at least a GTX 970 or RX 470 to run the game. If you're using a GPU that doesn't have enough VRAM to render all the textures in the game, the game will almost crash every time there's a demanding scene on your screen.

If you have an onboard graphics processor, make sure to set the priority to PCI-E > PCI > Integrated Graphics / Integrated GPU in the BIOS.

Forza Horizon 5 requires Windows 10 1909

At the very least, you need to install the Windows 10 1909 November 2019 update to launch the game. If you haven't updated Windows 10 in a while or are using Windows 7 or 8.1. I'm sorry to say that Forza Horizon 5 will not launch on your system. You can try all you want.

Administrator account

Sign in to Windows 10/11 with a Local Administrator Account. This has fixed the majority of cases reported for Forza 5, so far.

9. Try moving Forza Horizon 5 it to a different drive

You can try moving the game to a different drive. For some users, crashes may be attributed to low disk space on the drive where the game is installed. Freeing up space on that drive or moving the game to a different drive will provide additional virtual memory to run the game.

  • Press the Windows key and search for Apps & features

  • Click on the Move buttone
  • Choose a new drive from the drop-down menu.
  • Click Move to automatically move the game to a new home.

  • Close the Windows Store app if you open it
  • Click Start and type WSRESET, without the quotes
  • Right click on the command and click on Run as Administrator. If Windows permissions box appears, click Yes or Run
  • A black MS Dos screen will appear for a few seconds. Wait for it to disappear and the Store will automatically open
  • Trying to install Forza 5

11. Use SFC /Scannow to Repair Windows System Files

  • Open Start. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  • Type the sfc /scannow command and then press Enter.
