While most users are used to saving Pins to a board, you can also download Pinterest images to your computer or smartphone and save them for offline use.

How to save photos from Pinterest on the web

Pinterest's website does not offer a direct download option, so you must use your browser's native download feature. Follow these steps to download images on the Pinterest website:

1. Sign in to your Pinterest account. If you don't have one, create a Pinterest account first.

2. Search for the image you want to download and right click on the image.

3. From the drop-down list, select the Save Image option.

4. Select the required folder path where you want to save the image and click Save.

How to save Pinterest images on Android

You can download Pinterest images on Android with the help of the Pinterest mobile app.

If you have the app and are signed in, follow these steps to download an image from Pinterest:

1. Open the Pinterest mobile app and sign in to your account. In the search box, type an image query and select the image you want to save.

2. After selecting a photo, tap the three-dot icon in the top left corner of the mobile screen.

3. From the menu, select Download Image.

4. You will be prompted with a pop-up message from Pinterest asking you to allow access to the library on your device. Click Allow to save the image in the phone gallery.

5. Once the image is downloaded, you will receive a confirmation message at the bottom of the screen, indicating that the image has been saved.

How to save photos from Pinterest on iPhone

The steps to download photos on iOS are very similar to those of Android.

1. Open the Pinterest app on your iOS device and navigate to the image you want to download.

2. Once you have found the required image, tap it.

3. Tap the ellipsis icon in the top left corner of the mobile screen.

4. From the menu that appears, select Download Image.

In case you get permission error on your iPhone device, open your phone settings and click on Privacy. In the Privacy section, tap Photos and select Pinterest.
