How to Disable Microsoft Teams Autostart in Windows 10

When you start up your Windows 10 machine, you can see that Microsoft Teams is launched automatically. If you don't want Microsoft Teams to start at startup, there are several ways you can stop it

Method 1. Disable through the Teams application

1. Launch Microsoft Teams.

2. In the upper right corner, click your profile icon.

3. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Settings.

4. A new window will open, uncheck the box for the Automatically start application

Method 2. Disable using Task Manager

1. Open Task Manager. Use Ctrl + Alt + Esc or right-click an empty spot on the taskbar and select Task Manager.

2. Navigate to the Startup tab.

3. Find Microsoft Teams and select Disable.

Method 3. Disable through the Registry Editor

1.Open the Start Menu and type Registry Editor.

2. Select Registry Editor from the list.

3. Navigate to: 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

4. In the right panel find the entry for Microsoft Teams and Delete it.

Enable Teams on startup

If you would like to set Teams to launch on boot, enable the startup settings in the Teams application.

1. Launch Microsoft Teams.

2. Click your profile icon in the upper right corner.

3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.

4. Check the box to Start the application automatically
