How to Fix Windows has Detected an IP Address Conflict on Windows 10

The role of the internet in our life could compare with the role of oxygen for this earth. It’s not easy for our lives without the internet. The internet present in online business, online degrees, online reputation, internet marketing, social media and internet banking. Those things show us the importance of the internet in our lives. Unfortunately, the convenience along with problems, which may keep us from the Internet. The Windows Has Detected An IP Address Conflict error is one of them.
The Windows Has Detected An IP Address Conflict error message means: on the network that your computer has been connecting, there’s at least one other device has the same IP address as your PC. The problem is likely the connection between your computer and the router. This error can even occur when the network has only one connected device.
You can resolve the problem in various ways that I have listed below.
Method 1: Restart your router
In most cases, Windows has detected an IP address conflict message appears due to certain glitches with your network configuration.
According to users, you can fix this problem simply by restarting your router. To do that, simply press the power button on your router to turn it off.
Wait for about 30 seconds and turn the router back on again. Wait until your router turns on completely and check if the problem is resolved.

This might be just a temporary solution, but it should help you fix the problem. Keep in mind that the issue can appear again, so you’ll have to repeat this solution.
Method 2: Release, flush then renew your IP address and reset TCP/IP
Refreshing the IP settings sometimes help you fix most Internet connection errors, including the Windows Has Detected An IP Address Conflict error. Follow below guide to do it:
1. Press Windows Keys + X and select Command Prompt (Admin), select Yes when you’re asked for administrator permission.
2. Type the following commands in the open window and hit Enter key after each command:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
3. Do it again with the following commands:
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat –R
nbtstat –RR
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset

4. Restart your computer as a final step, then test your internet connection.
Method 3: Restart your network adapter
The problem may come from your network adapter too, try to disable then enable it to see if the problem is fixed. To do this:
1. Use the Windows Keys + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run box, do type control panel then press Enter key
2. Change the View by option to Large icons or Small icons, then find select Network and Sharing Center item
3. Click Change adapter settings link on the left sidebar
4. Right-click the adapter that you’ve connected to, then choose Disable;
5. Do step 4 again but choose Enable instead of Disable.

Try to browse the internet to check if the Windows Has Detected An IP Address Conflict error is fixed or not.
Method 4: Let your network obtain IP address automatically

4. Open context menu by right-clicking the adapter that you’ve connected to, then select Properties
5. Move to Networking tab, left-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) item and select Properties button
6. Make sure Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically options are selected, then click OK button.

After you go to the last method, the Windows Has Detected An IP Address Conflict error should be fixed, now you can enjoy browsing the internet.
Method 5: Run Network Adapter Troubleshooter
Running the network adapter troubleshooter finds and fixes problems with wireless and other network adapters.
1. Press Windows keys + I at the same time to open Settings.
2. Select Update & Security
3. From the left pane, choose Troubleshooter. Under Find and fix other problems, scroll down to Network Adapter. Select it then click the Run the troubleshooter button.
4. After this, run the Internet troubleshooter. Scroll back up then select Internet Connections.
5. Click the Run the troubleshooter
7. Restart your system. Now, check if your IP address has a conflict.
