Windows 10 Theme: 17 stunning Windows 10 Themes you should not miss

Windows 10 is not considered a super customizable platform like Linux. However, there are many themes for Windows 10 to choose from.

Whether you're looking for a retro theme or something more subtle, you'll definitely find one on this list.

If you do not know how to install a Windows 10 theme, please refer to the article How to use a theme on Windows 10 to know how to do it.

1. Jonatica-andl Desktop

When you look at Jonatica-andl's theme, you will surely be mesmerized. The theme looks great with the Taskbar icons and the Mac-style dock right above it, giving it a sense of elegance.

You will love the OSD feature (displayed on the screen) with important information such as CPU, memory, hard drive usage as well as Internet speed. And you'll love the stylish way the date displays in the center of the screen on top of this theme. And the plus point for Jonatica-andl's Desktop theme is that there is a handy Google search bar.

2. CakeOS

With a combination of buttons and icons with a white and black theme for windows, cakeOS is an elegant theme that brings a novel experience to Windows 10. It's hard to compare cakeOS with anything else, it has Bright and bold retro colors to stand out. Even the Start button brings a vivid change to it while keeping the same Windows logo color.

You can make other adjustments to the theme like choosing borderless corners, bordered corners or rounded corners for windows, and change the appearance of the buttons when the window is hovering. You can also choose the rounded window corner (macOS style) buttons or the square Windows style button.

3. macOS Sierra

One of the things that users switching from Mac to Windows complained about is the UI design, which is a lot different from what they used to be.

Instead of learning how Windows works, why not bring the macOS UI experience to Windows 10? From the notification center to the Launchpad, the lock screen and the window controls in the upper left corner of the screen instead of the top right corner, macOS Sierra is one of the themes that best recreate the Mac experience on Windows. In terms of imaging, it's pretty perfect although some people are annoyed with redundant options like the Apple Software Update.

You can use this theme on all versions of Windows from Windows XP to Windows 10.

4. GreyEveTheme

One of the best Windows 10 dark themes in recent times, GreyEveTheme makes Windows 10 easier on the eyes with black and gray. For someone who doesn't like the white background in windows like File Explorer and Settings, then this is the perfect theme for you.

One thing to note is that this theme does not have interface or design changes. It is tied to the Windows 10 design.

6. Taiwan Culture Sketches

Taiwan Culture Sketches is the only true Microsoft theme on this list. This is basically a collection of images with harmonious colors. The included wallpapers are also great.

7. Penumbra

Like the other themes on this list, Penumbra isn't from Microsoft. You need to follow the instructions above to be able to install this theme on Windows 10. But once it's set up, you will get a beautiful dark theme suitable for use at night.

8. Arc

Arc includes several of its black and white theme variations. For maximum effect, you should install the Arc icon pack with this theme.

9. Simplify 10

Simplify 10 is really a pack of Windows 10 themes, focused on simplicity. It flattens the Windows interface as much as possible based on gray and white shades to distinguish different parts of the user interface. It also minimizes the window controls.

10. LAB

The LAB's main image change is a black bar that runs across the top of every theme window. It also reduces contrast significantly across the entire system and restores most of the UI.

11. Anthem Two

Like LAB, Anthem Two also adds a black bar to the top of all theme windows. However, it doesn't reduce contrast as much as the LAB, making it a bit easier on the eyes to see.

12. 3D Theme

3D Theme, available on ThemePack, contains 17 high definition wallpapers. All backgrounds give the illusion of a 3D graphic. The images are all abstract (although some of these options are inspired by spheres and shapes).

To use 3D Theme, put the files in% windir% / Resources / Themes. You can use all 17 images at once; Right-click on the desktop and select Next Desktop Background to switch to other options.

13. macDock

The most famous aspect of macOS operating system is the dock. It provides quick access to all commonly used applications. The Windows taskbar works in a similar way, but if you're looking for a Mac-like feel, you should probably give macDock a try.

As the theme's name suggests, it adds a Mac-like dock to the bottom of the screen. The theme will replace the existing taskbar, and you can customize the toolbar to display the apps you want to see.

Better yet, macDock also comes with a bunch of ready-to-use Mac apps, including Widgets, Launchpad, Siri, Finder, and Exposé. It even has 3 options and a drag and drop interface.

Get the installation files from DeviantArt and run the EXE file to get started.

14. Anime theme

Anime seems to be becoming more popular every day. Therefore, it is probably not surprising to know that you can find a lot of Anime for Windows 10 themes. On ThemePack you can get themes for all your favorite stars and shows, including Gintama, Vegeta, Evangelion and Haikyuu.

15. Meteor Showers

You can find some of the best Windows 10 themes by downloading it for free in the Microsoft Store. There are dozens of themes to choose from (including a number of premium options).

One of the most popular free themes in the Store is Meteor Showers. It has 18 images of shooting stars to choose from, or you can ask Windows to cycle through all 18 images at a predetermined time.

Some of the other themes in the theme include forests, cityscapes, rivers, and animals.

16. Flattastic

As the theme's name suggests, Flattastic removed the gradient palettes and other design elements that gave the impression of curvature and replaced the entire screen with a flat interface.

Theme has 16 different versions (8 light color options and 8 dark color options). You will have access to all 16 of these versions when you paste the appropriate files into C: \ Windows \ Resources \ Themes.

17. Ubuntu SkinPack

We have looked at how to make Windows look like macOS, but what about making Windows like Linux? If you want Windows functionality with a Linux look, then consider Ubuntu SkinPack.

In addition to Windows 10, Ubuntu SkinPack also supports Windows 7 and Windows 8.
