How to Fix ntoskrnl.exe High Memory Usage In Windows 10

Method 1:
  1. Press Windows key + R
  2. Type regedit and press OK. Confirm any security warnings.
  3. In the regedit window, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu\ and double-click the Start value.
  5. Set the value to 4, click OK and reboot your computer.

Method 2:
  1. Press Windows key + R
  2. Type servcies.msc and hit the enter key.
  3. The scroll down and look for service Superfetch double click on it change the Startup type disable and Stop the Service if it’s running.
  4. Do the Same with Windows update and BITs ( Background Intelligent Transfer Service ). 
  5. Restart the PC and check if the performance has improved.

Method 3:
  1. Hit Windows key + R
  2. Type in “Regedit” and then hit Enter.
  3. Go to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management’
  4. Find ‘ClearPageFileAtShutDown’ and change its value to 1
  5. Restart the computer.
